Prototype of electric Jaguar I-Pace spotted during the tests

Concept of electric crossover Jaguar I-Pace had just debuted at the auto show in Los Angeles, and prototype of production model is already passing the tests on UK roads. Disguised test vehicle is hiding under the camouflage the bottom part of the body and rear spoiler, and under its hood there is 400-horsepower (298 kW and 700 Nm) electric power train, exactly the same as in the concept. You can see on the pictures that there are no air vents on the front bumper and that the car received a new grille. The height of the roof is slightly reduced, and at the same time, the wheelbase is extended.

Competitor of Tesla Model X will debut in 2018 and will borrow 90% of design from a predecessor. However, there is no doubt that such things as wheels, aggressively sloping rear part and interior will be revised.

Novelty will retain 90 kWh battery, which makes the car drive up to 354 km on a single charge. According to reports, it is expected that the car will be assembled at a plant in Austria, at the same place where is created new Toyota Supra. Electric crossover will go into series production by the end of 2018.
