Production of the first electric crossover Jaguar will be organized in Austria

Jaguar Company has decided where the production of promising electric vehicle will be launched. We are talking about the first electric crossover called I-Pace. It turns out that the production will be organized at the company Magna Steyr in Austria. According to representatives the novelty will appear on the market in 2018.

For the first time prototype of this crossover was showed the public last week, it was one of the Company’s novelties at the Auto Show in Los Angeles. It also became known that the production version will be little different from the concept. But it makes possible to focus on the concept dimensions in assessing the production version: length – 4680 mm; width – 1890 mm, wheelbase – 2990 mm.

The novelty will be equipped with two trunks. One of them will be in the rear part of the machine (530-liter), and the second one will be in front of it (28-liter). The diameter of the wheel is 23 inches. Besides you can notice massive wheel arches. Crossover is based on a platform Jaguar Land Rover EV. Under the hood of the car there are two electric motors. As a result, the total output is 400 horsepower. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes just four seconds. The model can travel without recharging up to 500 kilometers.
