The Golden Age of Jaguar came in 1961 with the appearance of E-Type. In 1963 the Company released racing model Lightweight E-Type, the successor of E-Type Low-Drag Coupe of 1962 model year. Despite the fact that initially it was planned to release 18 copies of Lightweight E-Type, for some reason, only 12 sports cars were assembled until 1964.

However, the original model with a racing history is still much more desirable. In the same 1963 Robert Frederick “Bob” Jane driving a sports car called “Ferrari 250 GTO killer”, won the Australian Championship GT. A car with a white body and blue stripes belonged only to three owners. It is interesting to note that this is the first original Jaguar Lightweight E-Type for the last 17 years, which is put up for sale in the United States.
