Jaguar XJ Sedan has Turned into a Hybrid

The mega trend in the whole world is connected to the raising environment awareness and to the problems of global warming, ecological wellbeing of the planet and thus the humans as a whole. In such a way, the products need to be adapted as well, because customers otherwise can turn to other brands, which behave in a more ethical and responsible way. Without doubt, that all the new developments are very costly, and that updating previous models is also very time consuming, but putting a hybrid engine option into the cars is simply a necessity nowadays.

At the Festival of Speed Goodwood in the UK, Jaguar introduced the concept hybrid of sedan based flagship XJ – which is now called XJ_e. The car was built to demonstrate the capabilities of Jaguar auto concern to introduce environmentally friendly power units in their models. And we should admit, that their strife for eco is a success.

Jaguar XJ Hybrid is equipped with the following technical items: a two-liter petrol turbo engine with direct fuel injection, a 69-kilowatt electric motor, and a set of lithium-ion battery capacity of 12.8 kilowatt-hour and not to forget the eight-speed automatic transmission. The total capacity of XJ_e power engine is 334 horsepowers.
