Inner Technical Side of the Jaguar C-X75 Prototype

Many Jaguar fans are now aware that the company is developing a prototype of the Jaguar C type, which will have a hybrid engine and a very extravagant name – C-X75. Today in the article we will present the technical inner side of the car.

In contrast to the show car, which is staffed with four electric motors, one for each wheel, and two gas microturbines, the series coupe Jaguar C-X75 on the contrary will be equipped with a four-cylinder gasoline engine of the capacity of 1.6-liter and also we should mention double-supercharged two electrical installations. The car has an installed a hybrid unit with capacity of over 600 hp which was made on the bases of the new technologies with robotized transmission. In the regular package of the machine they will equip the kinetic energy recovery system, developed by engineers of the Formule One team – Williams F1. In all-electric mode, the maximum range of the two-doors coupe is not less than 60 km.

According to preliminary estimates, Jaguar C-X75 can be accelerated up to the first “hundred” for 2 with a small seconds and reach speeds of over 320 km/h. Jaguar plans to launch C-X75 in production in 2014. Car will cost around ? 900,000. However, it will be a very limited series for the start.
