The company is now working hard on a Jaguar nine-level automatic transmission, according to Auto Express. The novelty will appear on production models of the brand until 2014. Now they are equipped with six-and eight-step automatic ZF. At the same time we have to admit that the Jaguar company was also the first one to introduce the eight-step transmission at the time.

Auto Express sources also confirmed that the British manufacturer is continuing to develop a sedan, designed to compete with the BMW 3-Series. According to preliminary data, the model will be called XS and will be offered in versions with rear-and all-wheel drive. As the power unit for the sedan were selected two-liter petrol “turbo-four” and 2.2-liter diesel. The new car is most likely going to have the new transmission too.
