Beijing 2012: Jaguar Models Received New Engines

We have recently covered in some articles ago, that there had been an event, where Jaguar was presenting new cars for the Asian market. Thus at this point we want also to say, that the company decided to make some changes in the technical inner side of the car for this special market. Jaguar Exposition Beijing Motor Show offered visitors not only to see and get acquainted with the sedan XJ Ultimate, but also to evaluate new power units of the company, which will soon begin to be implemented into three models of the brand.

It goes without saying that the road conditions in the Asian market are different than those of the European and American market. One of the greatest differences is hidden in the fact that the traffic there is heavier and also roads are narrow.

In the Chinese capital the British manufacturer has demonstrated a new 3.0-liter engine with a mechanical supercharger, docked with the aforementioned automatic transmission and fuel-efficient technology, Stop & Start. V-shaped “six” is available in two capacities: 340 hp and 380 hp. Less powerful version of the company will be installed on the XF sedan and the XJ, a 380-horsepower engine sports car will get F-Type, which goes on sale in 2013.
