The innovations in the car business keep on developing and so do the models of the cars. Jaguar is in fact at the forefront in the integration of the new developments into the technological side of its cars. However, it appears that not always the more powerful units are better than the previous ones. In such a way, the Jaguar concern decided to go back the six cylinder engine on the XJ sedan model, even though initially they have installed a multi powerful eight on this car.

The company introduced a redesigned Jaguar’s flagship sedan XJ, which received a new engine, revised chassis and an extensive list of equipment. There were changes made not only in the engine, but also in the number of other sides of the car. However, one of the major innovations about everyone is talking about now is that the five-liter atmospheric “eight” was changed to a three-liter six-cylinder unit with a mechanical supercharger, which was introduced in mid-June this year. The motor power of this engine is 340 horsepowers with the maximum torque of 450 Nm.

The headquarters of the Jaguar have announced that the decision to change the engine came mainly from the testers, as they said, that the car would be much more stable and convenient to drive with the “six” instead of “eight”.
